Sarah Lee

Pianist / Producer / Instructor

Sarah was born in Korea, but raised in the States since she was 13 years old. She began her passion in music since childhood and pursued her study of Musicology at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. During her time at UCLA, she gained invaluable experiences with other musicians that helped her step towards the professionalism of the music industry. She also obtained a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy because of her love for children and teaching.

Sarah's music is known for the infusion of her multicultural insights, life experiences, spirituality, and emotions. One of her testimonies mentioned that when she was going through obstacles in her own life, God had His own way of consoling her deeply with music. Since then, with a determination of how she wants the direction of her life to be, she is joyfully engaged in praising and worshipping God with what God gave her as musical talents.

Throughout the years, Sarah composed soundtracks for independent films, the UCLA film department, Hollywood film director Morgan Mead, as well as her own jazz big band compositions. Currently she is occupied with several event piano accompanist positions (wedding ceremonies and piano lessons) and employed at a Korean Presbyterian church in Orange County as the main piano accompanist and music producer. The goal with her music career is to heal those who have hardships in their lives and spread the beautifulness of music through her teaching. Sarah strongly believes music has power to soothe and heal, she feels certain that music is a gift from God for which would be used to glorify Him by leading and helping those who are in pain. Due to her interest of healing people with music, she also plans to study further more on Music Therapy in the near future. Sarah now resides in Orange County area where she is an active Christian music artist, educator, composer and is preparing to release her debut album in the upcoming future.

A collaboration work with UCLA film department alumni, Sarah Lysen. The film was premiered at a UCLA theater and was awarded the annual best student short film award.

Timeless Trio 3

The performance "Amazing Grace" with played with Sarah's band at Grace Korean Church. This particular piece is amongst her favorite because the song conveys the magnificence of God's grace.

Sarah is open for any music collaborations such as yearly Contemporary Christian Music contest, Christian band worship tour for churches and more.
